Join the Bad Luck Runner’s Club for the inaugural Statesmas 20K, a festive trail race set in the heart of Auburn, California— the Endurance Capital of the World. On December 7th, 2024, directly after the Western States Endurance Race 100M entrance lottery, we'll be riding the wave of emotions with an exciting race celebrating the lucky lottery winners, the dedicated volunteers, and our vibrant running community.
Starting at noon in downtown Auburn, the Statesmas 20K offers a scenic and challenging course. The route will take you past Placer High School, down the iconic Robie Point on the Western States Trail, across the historic No Hands Bridge, and through a loop in Cool, CA. Runners will then retrace their steps along the Western States Trail, finishing in downtown Auburn. This course follows the last 6 miles of the legendary Western States Endurance Race, giving participants a taste of what it's like to run in the finish!
Statesmas is more than just a race; it's a celebration akin to Christmas for ultrarunners. Whether you're a lottery winner, a lottery loser, a volunteer, or a community supporter, come and be part of this joyous occasion.
